Club Boat Classes

We sail a variety of boat classes, suitable for different skill levels and sailing styles:

Snipe

The Snipe is a classic two-person racing dinghy known for its tactical sailing and competitive one-design racing. With a worldwide racing circuit, the Snipe offers excellent competition at all levels.

Orkney Yole

The Orkney Yole is a traditional open boat design native to Orkney, built for the challenging local waters. These boats are sailed in regattas throughout Orkney during the summer months, celebrating our maritime heritage.

ILCA (Laser)

The ILCA (formerly Laser) is the world's most popular single-handed racing dinghy. Available in three rig sizes (ILCA 4, ILCA 6, and ILCA 7), it offers exciting racing for sailors of all sizes and abilities.

RS Feva

The RS Feva is a modern double-handed dinghy designed for youth and junior sailors. It's an ideal boat for learning to sail with a partner, featuring an asymmetric spinnaker for added excitement as skills progress.

RS Quest

The RS Quest is a stable and versatile training dinghy, perfect for beginners and family sailing. Its wide beam and forgiving design make it an excellent choice for learning the basics of sailing in a safe environment.
